Graph 1: Comparison between Inlet Mesh and Inlet Mesh with Sharp Inlet

An opened inlet mesh with sharpened opening edges was ran through angles 6 to 10 degrees and compared to the Open-inlet Mesh. There is no significant difference in the coefficients of Lift and Drag.




Graph 2: Comparison between Inlet Mesh and Refined Inlet Mesh

An inlet mesh(refinement value: 0.005) was compared to a refined inlet mesh(refinement value: 0.003) ran through angles 6 to 12 degrees. There is no significant difference in the coefficients of Lift and Drag.




Graph 3: Comparison between Inlet Mesh and Closed Rounded Mesh

The inlet mesh was compared to the closed rounded mesh, and as we can see, the rounded mesh has a higher coefficient of lift, and a lower coefficient of drag.




Graph 4: Comparison between Rounded Closed Mesh and Various Refinements

Four refinements of the rounded closed mesh were compared in this plot. Refinement values of 0.001, 0.003. 0.005, 0.008 were used. As we can see from the trend of this plot, as the refinement becomes less, (from .001 to .008) the values of lift decrease, while the values of drag increase.
